Dear John, by BeneFit Cosmetics LLC in San Francisco, is an antiageing alternative moisturizer that is said to relax the skin and diminish wrinkles by modifying tissue on the face. Along with skincare BeneFit is also distributing cosmetics.

BeneFit Dear John facial cream is Vitamin E-based, and although their complete ingredients aren't listed, we know that there's Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium PCA, Provitamin B5 and Marshmallow Root Extract (like a one-a-day vitamin for skin) in addition to Vitamin E which is known to protect and strengthen skin. We like to hear Hyaluronic Acid contained within an anti-aging product because of its proven powers to hydrate the skin very well as an already included element in the human body. It's even better knowing that it's used in a topical formula instead of injection-based form which is sometimes the case.

We were disappointed that it didn't have fresh Collagen and other established ingredients especially for anti-aging. The official website offers recommendations for use of Dear John face cream saying it should be used day and night following cleansing of the skin. However, we see many users applying this face cream their own ways.

All in all, we think manufacturers, in order to gain the trust of a potential customer, should keep in mind what needs to be known about a product when developing its manufacture online. As for consumers looking for a good anti-aging product, pointers we suggest include first checking out the ingredients (the bad ones and the good ones), then the prices, take a good look at all the publicity, testimonials and basically fuss going on about it, if any, for effectiveness, and then return policies.

Thinking as a consumer, we believe it's very important for companies to have official websites for their products with complete info. Unfortunately BeneFit has just a page for Dear John. There isn't a customer service option or a refund policy present on it, but the product is competitively priced and easily ordered online. No customer testimonials are included on the official web page either. BeneFit Dear John is available to buy through many UK stockists web shops, US, Canada, Australia or worldwide shipping. Most popular products in the BeneFit Cosmetics Makeup line are further the Dr Feelgood beauty benefit, the Hoola and Hight Beam Benefit products (People have asked about the Benefit Concealers, Dandelion and Lip Gloss lately, so in a few weeks we will try reviewing these other BeneFit makeup products as well).

Many reviews and comparison sites (as below in the search listing), are positively mentioning the BeneFit Dear John facial cream. A bit greasy, rather hard to absorb, more to be marketed as a night cream only. Not really the cheapest night cream you can get, but having a nice smell and being super moisturizing. Some stockists are mentioned to be offering free samples, which would last for a whole week or so. So if you would buy the whole jar, it will last for months. BeneFit Dear John is recommended if you have a very dry facial complexion. However, the price tag would leave people opting for alternatives perhaps. Cheap, inexpensive ways to buy BeneFit products would consist of looking for coupon codes on sales or review sites.
